Did my expectations came true?

It is my first year at the university, and when I came into it, I had some expectations.
Firstly, I thought that it will be difficult to study, the subjects will be difficult and I won't understand them. In one hand, I wasn't mistaken. There are new subjects, which are sometimes difficult to manage. Of course there are subjects which are a little bit simmilar to these, which we had at school. On the other hand, it is interesting to know something new, to study new things, not that subjects which you had twelve years in school.
Secondly, I thought that I will have more free time and I will be able to get a job and my studies won't be effected. But the true was, that if you want to learn things properly, you have to spend more time on homework and so on. You can't have good job, because you will not be able to study properly.
What is more, I thought it will be very difficult to live in big city, in the capital by my own. Now I understand, that you have to try to live on your own and it is not so scary like it can look like. I like living on my own and deciding things. I have to decide what I want, what I can do and what I REALLY need.
In conclusion I want to say, I believe, that my expectations are more or less similar with other students. Because you can preliminary know, what is waiting for you in studying.

Euthanasia

Euthanasia is believed to be good, unpainful or pleasant death. Many people in the world are fighting about that. Some are saying, that it is the best way to end person's suffering, others say that it is equal to murder. I can't say, I am for or against the euthanasia, but of course, there are some cases, where it could be done.
First of all, there are some cases, when the illnesses do not have treatment, and even scientists can't do anything. Person is dying and suffering. Everybody knows, that only a miracle can help him. In this case, I am for euthanasia, because it is very hurtful to watch your loved ones dying.
What is more, sometimes people are not sick, but when they experience some accident, they fell into coma. Day after day, their bodies are refusing to work properly, their brain die and the only thing that keeps them alive is MACHINE. It is life support machine, which breaths for the person, the heart works because of it and etc. I think, that this case is also justifiable for euthanasia, because there is no reason to keep person's body and just watch more and more machines, which are helping him not to day.
On the other hand, I believe, that person can't choose when and how to die. Sometimes relatives can't think clearly and decide, what to do further. Euthanasia can look like the only way, how to heal the person. But not always you should go to the easiest way. Sometimes you should fight and believe. Especially, when the person, who is in the hospital, is very close to you.
I think, doctors have to try save lives and every person should believe, that everything could be fine. Euthanasia can be chosen not every time. I think, that illegality is reasonable and if euthanasia were so simple and reliabale- there will bo no banning.

The film review

I watched very interesting film last week. The film is called "In Time". It is action film with thrill and science motives. The director and film author is Andrew Niccol. He is also known for films like "S1m0ne" or "The Truman Show".
The main actor in this film is Justin Timberlake, who has the role of Will Salas. The film is about the future and how will people wil live in it. The most interesting facts in film are that people stop aging at the age of 25, everything is count with minutes, even a coffee. For example, the bus ticket costs 1 or 2 hours. A cup of coffee- 3 or 4 minutes. The main action in the film is that Will Salas is accused of the murder of one person. He didn't do that, so it became difficult to find the truth against powerful guys. Will Salas is trying to brake the system and make came out all the truth about the "lack of time".
I found this film thrilling even if I don't like action films very much. But I recommend you to watch it too. I think, after seeing this film you will consider your life and the time that you have. And who knows, maybe in the future we all will have clokcs on the wrist like in  that film?

I will the add the Trailer of this film, maybe it will be useful for you "In Time" trailer (2011)

My favourite time in the year

Ordinary year in Lithuania has four seasons. I believe, that the majority of all Lithuanians should say, that their favourite season is summer. This time I am not in hte majority and my favourite season is winter. There are many reasons, why I love winter. I love the view of winter, winter celebrations and possible past time activities.
To begin with, one of the reasons is that I like how ground and trees looks in the winter. When I wake up, I can look through the window for hours. When trees are covered with white frost, big and airy snowflakes are falling... What can be more beautiful? Also, I like to walk through the snow and to hear how cold made snow to "speak". It is pleasant to hear snow chirr under your feet.
Another reason is that in winter we have a lot of nice celebrations. For example- Christmas Eve and Christmas. During these holidays all family members gather together. There is the silence and peace at home. Everyone thinks about their previous year, what they did, what not. Also, I born in February, so one of the celebretions in winter is my birthday. I like to celebrate it with family and my friends. It is nice time to be with people, who are important for you.
Finally, I like to go out with friends in the winter. We usually take vacuum flask with tea or hot chocolate and go to the forest. There we make a fire, griil sausages and play various winter games. Sometimes we play snow war, sometimes go to ski. It is fun to spend a day with friends in the fresh air.
In conclusion, I want to say that favourite season don't have to be with heat and sun. You just have to know what activities you can take in each season and your opinion can change. Sometimes you can just look into everything from the other side.

Food from the different countries

In the world are a lot of countries with different habits of eating. I love eating food from different countries. I like it, becouse it can help me to know more about country's culture, know the difference between my native country and others, and it is useful for my hobby to cook.
Firstly, I am very interested in foreign countries culture and food is one of the most important things in the culture. When I traveling I can try to eat in the restourant, which offers traditional food. I can learn how to eat it, what is the mean of the dish. Also, I am communiating with other people while I am eating their traditional food. That can help me to find friends or meet just some interesting people.
What is more, I can compare different meals and different cooking traditions, when I try foreign countries meals. I know well Lithuanian food traditions and I can compar it with other. For example, when I try Japanese food, I can discuss about differences with people, who are making those meals. I can tell what is similar in our cooking, maybe after that conversation the Japanese will be interested into Lithuanian culture, like I am interested in others.
Finally, I like to cook by myself. I like using a lot of different spices to make the meal more delicious and not so usual. So, when I travel and try food from different countries, I can write down some recepies and try it at home. Also, I can buy there some rare and tasty spices. It is very interesting to me to try new dishes at home.
In conclusion, I want so say, that everyone should be interested in other countries culture. I believe, that everyone will find the meal, which will be their memorial of country, which he or she had visited. Also, everyone could make some experiments in the kitchen and try to make something new and not traditional.

I would recomend you to read a book

There are thousands of books in the libraries in the whole world. People can choose what they want to read: a romance, science, detective books... but nowadays there are not so many people, who prefer to read a book instead of watching films on computer. Sometimes you have to hear about book, to read about the contents to make sure that you will like a book. I will try to describe the book, which I am reading now. I will try to say, why you shoul choose this book.
First of all, I want to introduce the book. I am reading "The Great Gatsby" by F.Scott Fitzgerald. It is a book about American society, moral structures. Self-made, self-invented millionaire Jay Gatsby embodies some of Fitzgerald's and his country's most abiding obsessions: money, ambition, greed, and the promise of new beginnings. It's also a love story, of sorts, the narrative of Gatsby's passion for Daisy Buchanan. The pair meet five years before the novel begins. All the rest you can read by yourself, I hope it will be interesting for you.
What is more, book is called on of the classic English language fiction books. I think, it is one of the most interesting things in this book. You can learn something new and beautiful, if you read "The Great Gatsby" and try to understand the book, not just go through the pages. For example, there are more than ten pages with various phrases explanations. You can make your language richer, more individual and so on. Sometimes the explanations can help you to understand nowadays informal English language and it doesn't matter that the book is written in the end of 20th century.
All in all, I want to say that it is always useful to read a book, which can develop your skills. It is pleasant to read, when you find something nice, new and suitable for you. It is even more better, when you can use new skills in reality.

I wish you good luck and thrilling reading.
People ask me, why I have chosen to study and to live in Vilnius city which is quite far away from my home town. And my answer is always the same- becouse I love it.
I could say that Vilnius is my city. I feel comfortable here. Even city bustle don't disturb me and the lights which are shining all night let me to sleep and to relax.
Of course, I could find a lot of advantages of living in Vilnius. You can see cultural life which is not necessary just cinema, restourants and so on. You can see a lot of concerts, visit a lot of places, listen a lot of music in thematic bars... I felt it by myself. Even if you are going out every weekend or every night, you will find something new to see, or pleasant to hear.
I went to the "Umbilical Brothers" show just because I  in Vilnius right now. I was going to the show on Sunday night, and I was happy.
I can never stop talking about the shows and places in Vilnius. And I know, that just a few people can visit all the places and take part in all events. So I recomend you to visit at least few places in the Old Town and go to shows, which is suitable for you financial possibilities and are interesting for you.
Everyone should feel that magic which I feel in this city.

Emigration

In world are many countries which are suffering form the emigration. Lithuania is one of these countries. The level of emigration is quite big in our country. People are going to countries with better life conditions. I think, there are several reasons for the great amount of emigrants: better education opportunities, Lithuanian’s economical system and more acceptable job offers.
To begin with, I would like to talk about education possibilities in foreign countries. Many young people believe, that they can find better education abroad. They think, that opportunities to get the best knowledge are not improved in Lithuania. We all know famous and prestigious universities, for example Cambridge University, Oxford University and so on. Students in Lithuania can’t get the same quality of education as at universities mentioned above.
Also, studying in foreign country can attract young people because of new experiences, language improvement, new people and so on. It is important to young people not to sit down in one place, to travel, to know something new. Sometimes it can look a little bit adventurous, but when you are young, you want to try everything you can.
What is more, there are some economical problems which are related with education. For example, in Great Britain you can take the loan and pay it back just when the person earn enough money for his/her job. In Lithuania we have to pay back the loan after one year finishing the university. It doesn’t matter, if you have a job, or not. You have to pay back the loan even if you are poor and not able to find a job.
Lithuania doesn’t have the best economical system in the world, so other countries can look attractive for their friendly economy, and cause emigration. In Lithuania we have high taxes, high prices and sometimes we even don’t have the insurance for our future. We don’t know if we will be able to get our pension in the future.
Moreover, one of the emigration reasons can be the possibility to find a job in our country. Lithuanians always complain that there are no jobs in Lithuania. No one wants to work minimal payment. Especially, if you work hard and full-time day. After all these disappointments people just start to search better jobs in other countries. For example, they can get more for strawberries plucking in the United Kingdom, that being a simple accountant in the Lithuania. That’s why a lot of people prefer physically harder job for bigger amount of money.
In conclusion, I think, that Lithuania is not the only country in the world, which has emigration problem. We should agree, that our country has many problems for getting better knowledge, paying taxes or getting a job. But what we have to do, it’s to have a optimistic look into everything, what is around us.

My ordinary Monday

It is Monday again. I can hear my alarm clock song- that means I have to wake up and make some coffee. I am trying to prove myself that I will go to sleep until the midnight. I know, that is just a simple promise, which I broke every Sunday night. My phone screams one more time- it is time to catch the bus.
There I am, going to the university. There are lots of rude and dissapointed people around me. It  makes me think that it is not just me who have a hard morning.
I can smell coffee at the university's ground floor. I understand that this hot drink keeps me awake every morning. I pass through the crowd full of students and go straight to the fifth floor.
Lecture had just started. We are speaking, listening, writing and talking. It seems like quite easy tasks, but after all day, I am trying to go home as soon as I can.
I am home. There is a cup of tea waiting for me. I take it with some cookies and try to relax. I know, a lot of homework is waiting for me too.

I promise, I will do them after the next cup of tea.
